KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty’s journey into parenthood has been nothing short of magical. The couple, who tied the knot on January 23, 2023, at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse, embraced a new chapter with the birth of their daughter, Evaarah Vipula Rahul, on March 24, 2025 .In a candid interaction, Rahul recounted how the name Evaarah came into their lives. “It was a name that I just stumbled upon,” he shared. He added, “We did go through a couple of name books that were sent by some close friends. Then I googled Evaarah and checked what the meaning is.”

The  cricketer felt an instant connection with the unique name, he said, “I loved it from the moment I saw it. It took me a little time to convince Athiya. But her parents and my parents loved it. Then she slowly fell in love with that name.”The name Evaarah holds a profound meaning. Derived from Sanskrit, it translates to gift of God, a sentiment that resonates deeply with the couple’s feelings towards their daughter .

On Rahul’s birthday in April, the couple shared the first glimpse of their baby girl on social media. The heartwarming photo featured Rahul holding Evaarah close, with Athiya gazing lovingly at her. The caption read, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/à¤Â‡à¤µà¤¾à¤°à¤¾ ~ Gift of God,” encapsulating their joy and gratitude.

Athiya’s father, veteran actor Suniel Shetty, also expressed his elation at becoming a grandfather. Reflecting on the new addition to the family, he shared, “Becoming a grandfather recently is a feeling I can’t even describe. It’s a happiness that’s pure and untouched by anything the world can give or take away”.As KL Rahul continues to shine in the ongoing IPL 2025 season with the Delhi Capitals, his personal life is equally fulfilling. Athiya, who has currently taken a break from the silver screen to focus on her family life, made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Hero alongside Sooraj Pancholi. Her last film was Motichoor Chaknachoor in 2019, where she starred opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
