Tamil cinema’s leading man, Ravi Mohan– popularly known to fans as Jayam Ravi– has found himself at the centre of public intrigue once again. On May 9, 2025, the actor made a notable appearance at producer Ishari Ganesh’s daughter’s wedding in Chennai, accompanied by singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis. Their coordinated traditional attire and visible camaraderie have reignited rumours about their relationship, especially as Ravi navigates a highly publicised divorce from his wife of 15 years, Aarti Ravi. 

The Genie actor and Kenishaa Francis arrived at the star-studded wedding in matching ensembles– Ravi in a classic gold traditional shirt and veshti, and Kenishaa in a gold saree with intricate embroidery. Their joint appearance comes months after Ravi publicly announced his separation from Aarti in September 2024, a move that led to a flurry of allegations and counterclaims between the estranged couple. 

Kenishaa, who initially met Ravi in a professional capacity as his therapist, has been at the centre of speculation regarding the reasons behind the actor’s marital discord. In interviews, she has vehemently denied any romantic involvement, stating, “There has been no physical involvement; we both understand our boundaries. I am self-made, and my parents are no more.”

However, Kenishaa has also levelled serious accusations against Aarti and her family, alleging emotional abuse inflicted upon Ravi. She claimed, “The pain Jayam Ravi’s family has put him through is bigger than the pain of losing his parents. As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents. No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender.”  

Ravi, for his part, has urged the public and media to refrain from involving Kenishaa in his personal matters. He emphasised, “She is a licensed psychologist. Please don’t involve her in this.”  

The singer therapist expressed concern over the emotional duress Mohan went through and cements her support to the Thug Life actor by stating, “I can release all the evidence, with or without Ravi’s permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions.”

As the divorce case unfolds in court, Ravi’s public appearances and statements continue to draw attention. The actor has also expressed his desire for custody of his two sons, Aarav and Ayaan, highlighting the personal stakes involved in the ongoing legal proceedings. His recent outing with Kenishaa has only added fuel to the fire, leaving fans and observers eager to see how this real-life drama will resolve.
