As if backing out from working with director Trivikram Srinivas’ film isn’t enough, fresh rumours are surrounding Allu Arjun. Reports from tinsel town emerged that Allu Arjun has opted out of the project #AA23 with ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film was announced more than two years ago.

Sandeep Vanga is occupied until 2027

Sandeep Vanga’s film Spirit, starring Prabhas is yet to commence shooting. In fact, the pre-production is still underway. After Spirit, Sandeep’s next film is Animal Park, the much-awaited sequel to his blockbuster Animal. Ranbir Kapoor is confirmed to reprise his role, and Vanga asserts the sequel will be “bigger and wilder.” Producer Bhushan Kumar and Vanga have earlier made it clear that ‘Animal Park’ will only start filming in 2027, after ‘Spirit’ with Prabhas is wrapped up. So where do Sandeep slot Allu Arjun’s film, if the director has lined up Spirit and Animal Park subsequently?

Given the packed timelines, Allu Arjun and Sandeep’s film may be put on the backburner…for now. There are reports suggesting that Allu Arjun has withdrawn from the film, and the project has been shelved. One of the major problems high-budget pan Indian films are facing is chaotic schedules of the lead cast. Spirit was delayed because of Prabhas’ injury, and the shooting schedules of his other films have come in clash with each other.

AA22xA6 is tipped to be a cinematic spectacle

Allu Arjun is currently working on his ambitious pan-Indian film with director Atlee, tentatively titled ‘AA22xA6’. The highly awaited collaboration features Allu Arjun in dual or triple roles alongside Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor. The shooting reportedly began in Mumbai on Thursday with a year-long extensive spread-out shooting schedule throughout. The project is slated to be released in multiple languages in late 2026. The actor’s decision to work on a film of such magnitude is a step towards establishing himself as a pan-Indian superstar.
