After Pawan Kalyan wrapped up the shooting of his pending films Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG recently, the guessing game started as to when he will resume shooting for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. And the actor sprung a surprise by commencing shooting for the Harish Shankar directorial after a long time on Wednesday.

Bulk dates for Ustaad Bhagat Singh

Pawan Kalyan and leading lady Sreeleela have commenced shooting in Hyderabad for the schedule that’ll last for nearly a month. Pawan reportedly allotted bulk dates to the Ustaad Bhagat Singh filmmakers since the fate of the film has been hanging in balance for the last two years. According to latest reports, Pawan is determined to wrap up the shooting of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He assured filmmakers that he would allocate bulk dates to them so that he can wrap up the film at the earliest. He wanted to turn focus to politics. The film’s teaser that was released last year got a tremendous response. It indicated that the actor’s role as a cop would be close to his real-life personality.

How Ustaad Bhagat Singh started

 

Pawan Kalyan started shooting for Ustaad Bhagat Singh months ahead of Andhra Pradesh general elections. After shooting for around 20 per cent, the actor got busier with his political commitments and did not turn up for the shooting. After becoming the state’s deputy Chief Minister, Pawan’s date diary was packed and never turned up to the sets of this film. There were reports that the action entertainer was even shelved, and that director Harish Shankar was on the lookout for another film. But with Pawan resuming the shooting, fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the film will see the light in 2026. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the film.
