T-Series bags music rights of Ram Charan Janhvi Kapoorâs film Peddi
The buzz surrounding Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has just gotten bigger. After the recently released first look glimpse of the actor went viral on social media, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial is in the news for another interesting reason.

Apparently, the film’s music composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman has been the talk of the tinsel town. Adding to the development, we have reliably learnt that T Series has bagged the music rights of Peddi. Buzz is that the music company has shelled out a whopping Rs 35 crore for the audio rights. The price is tipped to be the highest in Ram Charan’s career. AR Rahman’s reputation, coupled with the ensemble star cast like Janhvi Kapoor, Shivarajkumar, and the buzz surrounding the film have been instrumental in the price negotiation. Moreover, Charan’s films always have great music, and the actor makes sure that his films have catchy songs and tunes that’ll reach the masses.
Although the audio rights of Ram Charan’s films have been going at a great price, it has witnessed an upward trend in the last three years, especially after he became a Pan India star with RRR. Each time, the actor’s film had set the bar high. If Peddi’s music rights were sold for Rs 35 crore, the audio rights of his last release Game Changer were sold at Rs 25 crore.

In Peddi, for the first time, Ram Charan is featured in a sports drama, so the audience can imagine the songs and tunes from AR Rahman could be riveting. Moreover, since this is the first time Rahman and Charan are teaming up, fans of both the personalities have high expectations. Peddi is a rustic drama set in 1980’s Uttarandhra backdrop. Charan plays a spirited villager who unites his community through sports to defend their pride against a powerful rival.
