Birthday boy Ajay Devgn is known to be one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. His intense performances and screen presence, be it in comic roles or serious ones, keeps the audience glued to their screen. With a career spanning over three decades, he has shelled out several hit films such as the Singham and Golmaal franchises, Omkara, Gangaajal, Bhola and many more.

In an exclusive interview with Filmfare a couple of years back, the actor was asked about ruling the industry for years with his contemporaries such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan and the secret og this long span. He humbly answered, “I don’t know. I follow my heart and, as I said, passion and hard work. Other than that, I don’t understand all these publicity stunts and all. Even if it works, it is only until a certain point; after that, it is your work, your dedication and your performance towards work that speaks. That is what takes you the long way.”

Devgn also spoke about remaining friends with his co-stars despite being in an industry where friendships are fickle. He shared, “We may not be meeting in person that much but we still talk. In fact, everyone is just one call away. And we support one another when the need arises. Akshay, Salman, Shah Rukh, Abhishek, even though he’s younger to us, Amitji, Suniel Shetty, Sanju…we trust one another and have been there for one another and we know we can count on one another’s support.”
