The wait to watch Nayanthara in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film seems to be over. Rumours are rife that Nayanthara has been approached to play the leading lady in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. Apparently, the actress quoted an amount higher than the filmmakers expected to be a part of the project.

It was then that the negotiations took place between the production house and the actress. And it looks like things have been fruitful as both the parties have reached a common ground. Nayan reportedly expressed gladness with the process, and she is all game to come on board. Perhaps an official announcement is expected soon.

Nayanthara and Chiranjeevi earlier shared screen space in two films. While she played his wife in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, the actress was seen as his sister in the Telugu remake of Godfather.If all goes well, she will be working with Chiru for the third time in his upcoming film. Nayanthara recently signed Toxic, starring Kannada star Yash. Also, she had signed a handful of films in Tamil.

Catherine Tresa on board?

Meanwhile, tinsel town is also abuzz with the reports that Catherine Tresa has been roped in for an important role in the action comedy. Apparently, director Anil Ravipudi wanted to cast Catherine in a role hitherto unseen. The actress too was reportedly excited with her part and agreed to come on board.

Interestingly, Catherine was supposed to share screen with Chiranjeevi in a special number in his comeback and landmark film, Khaidi No: 150. But she exited the project following contrasting perceptions with the filmmakers over the song.

Cut to present, she’s back in a Chiru film. Chiranjeevi’s film may go on floors in June, and the pre-production work is in the final leg. Buzz is that the film will be high on comedy and the audiences would get to see a vintage Chiru in this film.
