Prabhas’ fans have a new date to mark. Spirit will release in theatres on October 29, 2027. The makers announced it today with a fresh poster. The caption read, “Prabhas Anna’s new poster. Shades on. Spirit always.”

The release coincides with Diwali. Most of Prabhas’ big-ticket pan-India ventures (read Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2, Saaho, Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki 2898 AD) were released during summer, monsoon, or Christmas windows rather than Diwali. So, Prabhas’ fans are super-excited about Spirit choosing the festival.

The film was earlier planned for March. That slot changed after Fauzi moved from December 2026 to March 2027. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has now taken the festive window. The announcement came as a sudden surprise.

Why Spirit Is so awaited

Spirit has stayed in the spotlight for a long time. Every poster and glimpse from the makers has set social media buzzing. Fans have studied each frame for clues about Prabhas’ look.

Vanga’s name adds to the immense buzz. His earlier films (Kabir Singh and Animal) sparked fierce debates and made plenty of money. Prabhas plays a police officer here. It is a role his fans have long wanted to see. The production is expected to be completed by mid-2027.

Fauzi and Spirit: Two different worlds

Fauzi and Spirit will arrive within seven months. Yet they could not be more different. Fauzi is a period war drama set in a bygone era. Spirit is a gritty, high-voltage cop drama. One leans on history and emotion. The other thrives on raw intensity and swagger. Prabhas fans get both.

Another treat awaits fans soon. On October 23, Prabhas’ birthday, the makers of Fauzi will release something special. The details remain under wraps. Expectations are high. Celebrations are set to begin early for the actor’s admirers.
